When you're trying to lose weight you want food with a low amount of sugar in it. But when you've got sugar cravings you want food where the sugar hits your system quickly.
A great way to get the best of both are with berries and with watermelon. Both of these have a low amount of sugar in them, but the sugar that's there gets into your system quickly and, hopefully, satisfies the sugar craving.
A really good way of combining the two is in a smoothie.
Take 1 slice of watermelon, chopped up.
Take 1 handful of frozen berries – I'm using Blackforest Fruits here.
Take 1 handful of frozen pineapple,
and 1 handful of spinach.
Pop them in a blender, cover with water, blend till smooth, and enjoy.
